About The Witchy Wizard

Mr. Robert Hughey

Robert Hughey, The Witchy Wizard

Let’s cast a spell together: snap your fingers of your left hand over your head in a circle three times in a row and yell out “Blessings be upon me!” each time. Then snap with your right hand over your head and send out love to your chosen faith, singing “I’m grateful forever!” each time you snap! Finally, imagine sending love to everyone in the world, unconditionally, with no holding back. End by saying, “And so it is. So mote it be. Amen.” You just took your first step toward becoming a Wizard.

Robert Hughey is a college English instructor and professional writer living in Americus, Georgia. He is almost finished with his Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Creative Writing with a Graduate Certificate in Professional Writing. Eons ago, though some say decades, Robert was born when a basilisk laid an egg in a plot of magic beans. Not to be confused with the critically acclaimed and certainly trademarked children born in patches of cabbages, Robert grew up obsessed with fantasy, science fiction, and paranormal fiction, leading to an overwhelming desire to eventually teach and write this genre.

Robert returned to college at the age of 39 to earn his undergrad degree in English after having attempted to complete a degree a number of times throughout his life. He decided to follow his dream of writing full-time professionally and combines his lifetime of alternative religious and magick practice with his love of the paranormal and fantastic to write fiction and poetry in the Speculative genre.

Robert’s upcoming works include a poetry and short story collection dedicated to the divine feminine Goddess and a comedic spiritual series on Kindle Vella.

Robert Hughey lives alone with his furry feline family, Tux and Edo, who are, as one might guess, tuxedo cats: the huskies of the cat world. Then there are the twins, Lord Sprocket and Lady Rod. Honestly, there’s way too much feline energy in his house. Robert writes poetry, inspirational and speculative fiction, Career Advisor Books, and he is a classically trained musician and vocalist.
